Champions of Equality: Self-Emancipators: Liberated Black Women

Join Alice Paul Institute and Lawnside Historical Society for a virtual presentation that will explore Black women in history who have liberated themselves and others, told through vignettes of Ona Judge, Hetty Reckless, Sojourner Truth, Harriet Tubman, and more.

This event features Linda Shockley, President of Lawnside Historical Society, Michiko Quinones, Co-founder of the 1838 BlackMetropolis, and Quincy Wansel, Youth Programs Coordinator at Alice Paul Institute.
