Intersection of Constitution NW & Pennsylvania Av, ending at Area 9 on 1st Street SE.

The organizer is working with the police to have a permit. Police officers helped to design the route and protest so that it should receive a permit. Please follow the instructions of the organizer and police.

Women’s Equality Day demonstration:

1) To maintain and exert our right to peaceful assembly and political demonstration as guaranteed by the 1st Amendment.

2) To create CLEAR OPTICS about the power divide and that peaceful demonstration on public sidewalks and federal public spaces (which belong to the people) should NOT be marred by partisan state terrorism and the inappropriate use of the National Guard against posse comitatus.

3) The city police and local forces hold the power and the responsibility for maintaining peace and orderly assembly in their local jurisdiction.

4) The demand is Women’s Equality, equal rights, and non-partisan protection under the law.

5) The impact is to reinforce non-partisan law enforcement and PROFESSIONALISM in those tasked and hired by City and State Taxpayers who funded city and state police to keep local city, county, and state jurisdictions safe from CRIME not against free and peaceful assembly and free and peaceful speech.

6) 8/26 is a DEMONSTRATION at strategic sites of power — across from the Supreme Court — that hold the rights of women in its hands and was built on top of the Women’s Political Party’s building.

Women in Handmaids Tale or Real Life/Comic Book Heroine Costumes on WOMEN’S EQUALITY DAY will give women a chance to express their hopes, dreams, and grievances. Break out that Halloween Costume early! Any Suffragettes or RBG’ers out there?
