The Equal Rights Amendment Can Strengthen the Menopausal Workers' Fairness Act

The House of Representatives passed the SAVE Act (Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act). This bill is based on a false fear that there is widespread voter fraud in U.S. elections.
That fear has been used to create rules that make it harder for many eligible people to vote—like married women, young and older people, immigrants, low-income communities, Native voters, naturalized citizens, Trans voters, and people affected by disasters.
Requiring specific documents like a passport or certified birth certificate could make it harder for many eligible people to vote.
In 2025, it is unacceptable that even with the 19th Amendment and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, our rights to vote are still being undermined. This is a stark reminder of how urgently we need the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) recognized and implemented.
In conclusion, the SAVE Act does not save anyone. Instead, it will make it harder—not safer—for people to cast their ballots.
We still have the opportunity to keep this from becoming law. Call and email your senators to ensure the SAVE Act fails in the Senate.
And let’s also claim the 28th Amendment. The Equal Rights Amendment is our path forward. Achieving the full realization of the ERA demands political will, a strong democracy, and a shared commitment to gender equality—for all of us. Our equality must be non-negotiable. Let’s make it constitutional.
