This November, the most important thing for equal rights anywhere in the country is happening in—Nevada! An inclusive ERA is on the ballot November 8th in the Silver State. The Nevada ERA goes way beyond protecting sex and prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, ancestry or national origin. Twenty-six states have state-level ERAs and when approved in November it will be the most comprehensive anywhere in the U.S.

The Nevada ERA was passed in the legislature when it gained—for the first time anywhere in the country—a female-majority in the legislature. It passed twice in the legislature and now has to be approved by the majority of voters statewide. A YES vote on Ballot Question 1 is a vote for equality, and robust passage of an ERA in Nevada will also help inject much-needed energy into the movement for finalizing the federal ERA.

Find out more about how to JOIN US in supporting groups on the ground in Nevada including Vote Equality, Nevada NOW, and the Nevadans for Equal Rights coalition to get this incredibly inclusive ERA across the finish line! If you live in Nevada, please sign Nevada NOW's pledge to vote YES on Ballot Question 1 and sign up to volunteer!
