The ERA Coalition, an organization led by women of color, represents millions of people and more than 200 allied organizations whose common mission is to see the Equal Rights Amendment ratified and implemented within the United States Constitution. As we continue our fight towards the constitutional protections of those on the account of sex, many new companies, businesses, individuals, and organizations have followed suit and joined forces to become members alongside the ERA Coalition. As a show of our gratitude and continued support, we would like to take a moment to spotlight our newest members.

In November of 2021:

Thank you so much to all of our new partners for their essential support in pursuit of the continued ratification and implementation of the Equal Rights Amendment within the United States Constitution. This month’s member highlights include Sociedad Latina, In Our Own Voice: National Black Women’s Reproductive Justice Agenda, and A Call To Men!

Sociedad Latina

Sociedad Latina’s mission is to create the next generation of Latino leaders who are confident, competent, self-sustaining, and proud of their cultural heritage. Working in partnership with Latino youth and families to end the cycle of poverty, inequality to access of health services, and lack of educational and professional opportunities in the community, Sociedad Latina introduces innovative solutions to the most critical problems facing young Latinos today. Through integral and coordinated daily programming in the areas of education, workforce development, civic engagement, and arts and culture, Sociedad Latina promotes long-term participation and cultural pride to enable youth to develop as confident, competent, self-sustaining, proud young adults. They have partnered this month with the ERA Coalition to work in an intersectional manner to best ensure safe and equal futures for current and coming generations through the implementation of the Equal Rights Amendment within the U.S. Constitution.

In Our Own Voice: National Black Women’s Reproductive Justice Agenda

In Our Own Voice: National Black Women’s Reproductive Justice Agenda is a national-state partnership focused on lifting up the voices of Black women leaders at the national and regional levels in the fight to secure reproductive justice for all women, femmes, and girls. The agenda works with partners to educate and mobilize Black women, femmes, and girls on issues such as abortion access, contraceptive equity, and comprehensive sexuality education. As a reproductive justice entity, the approach these issues from a human rights perspective, incorporating the intersections of race, gender, class, sexual orientation, and gender identity with the aituational impacts of economics, politics, and culture that make up the lived experiences of Black women in America. In Our Own Voice: National Black Women’s Reproductive Justice Agenda is partnering today with the ERA Coalition to finally ensure, explicitly, the rights of all women in the United States as bound by the U.S. Constitution through the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment.

A Call To Men

A Call To Men works to transform society by promoting healthy, respectful manhood by offering training and educational resources for companies, government agencies, schools, and other community groups. Their work is rooted in seven core principles, which include centering marginalized voices and addressing intersectional oppression, and their primary approach in training follows the social ecological model, advocated by the U.S. Center for Disease Control. For decades, A Call To Men has mobilized hundreds of thousands of male-identified aspiring allies to women and girls around the world, and has partnered with the ERA Coalition this month to continue the fight towards equality by fueling the momentum needed to finally implement the Equal Rights Amendment within the U.S. Constitution.
